Murder Mubarak

A murder occurs in an all-exclusive club, and the victim is the gym trainer, Leo Mathews (played by Ashim Gulati), who works there. The entire movie revolves around the search for the killer. It opens by introducing the status and relationships of various characters, along with the dynamics between them. The narrative then delves into flashbacks, with each character recounting the events of the fateful night to the investigating ASP. The plot primarily revolves around how the inspector unravels the chaotic lives of the club members to uncover the truth.

In terms of acting, Pankaj Tripathi shines as ACP Bhawani Singh, portraying a calm and likable character from the moment he appears on screen. However, the performance of veteran actors like Dimple Kapadia is questionable. It’s unclear if her characters were intended to be cringeworthy to convey a point or if it was a result of poor direction. The disappointing role choice from a veteran actor detracted from the overall experience.

Tisca Chopra delivers a standout performance as Roshni Batra, portraying a mother who dotes on her son while grappling with her sense of belonging in the club. Vijay Verma as Akash Dogra handles the other aspect of the story—the love story between Bambi (played by Sara Ali Khan) and Akash, an upper-class girl and a middle-class guy with strong ethical values. Bambi, a widow, is depicted as a bubbly party girl concealing her pain behind her carefree demeanor and kleptomaniac tendencies.

Bambi reveals to Akash that Leo was blackmailing her due to her habit, leading Akash to involve the inspector in further investigation. It is revealed that Leo was blackmailing several club members, coercing them to send checks to the orphanage where he grew up, portraying Leo as a modern-day Robin Hood.

Despite some commendable performances, SK’s portrayal of Bambi detracted from the movie, leaving viewers confused about her character’s emotions. Additionally, there is mention of a cringeworthy dialogue delivered by Karishma, which disrupts the viewing experience with its shrill delivery.

The film suffers from an abundance of characters, each vying for attention with their own stories, making it challenging for the audience to connect with any one character. However, the background music score is tolerable, and while the twist is predictable, the performances make it somewhat engaging.

Overall, the movie may be worth a watch if you have nothing better to do and are up for a challenge.

Bad Surgeon – Love Under the Knife

Available On: Netflix

Genre: True Crime Documentary

Directed by: Ben Steele

The three-part series was released on 29 November 2023. It focuses on Dr. Paolo Macchiarini and the lives he took in the name of surgery. Dr. Paolo Macchiarini’s introduction was given by his ex-fiance and reporter Benita Alexander-Noel. Dr. Paolo has supposedly created the first-ever man-made organs, and he claimed to cure his patients who have lung issues. We see the happiness and miracle his discovery has brought to his patients. We also see the love depicted between Benita and Paolo, and according to Benita’s words, Paolo seems like the guy who has the whole world at his feet, someone who considers himself a god.

As the series progresses, we slowly unravel the dark truth behind the scenes of what goes on before and after these claimed successful surgeries. All is not good. His patients are no longer crying in happiness; there is blood, there is dread, and there are a lot of questions that come forth.

The series touches not only on how some medical institutes can protect the devil just to have their reputation intact, but we also see the struggle of people who tried to uncover the truth. In the world where we live, with media being so accessible to all, one might think, how come such misconducts were not revealed earlier? But as every person tells their story, you realize that more than people who want to be heroes, we need people who aren’t trying to sabotage them.

There are a lot of topics that the series touches, and we discover that evil has no bounds because in every part, we come across something new. Benita Alexander, who thought she found the love of her life, has to become a part of a sting operation to get some answers.

Colleagues who have considered Dr. Paolo as their role model finally accepted that we need to question every action before blindly following orders. Most of all, we see the struggle each of these people has and how they fight against the injustice at the end.

The series also captures the stories of the patients who were promised miracles and their families being torn apart as they watch their loved ones have a painful, gruesome death.

Wild Wild Country

Genres: Documentary

Directed by: Chapman Way and Maclain Way

The six-part series was released in 2018, starring Philip Toelkes, Jane Stork, and Ma Anand Sheela as themselves.

The documentary presents the story of Osho, the world’s most controversial guru, who built a utopian city for his followers deep in Oregon Country. It explores how he became entangled in a national scandal that ultimately led to his death.

The documentary features interviews with Osho’s faithful followers who believed in him until the end, as well as those who claim to know the dark truth about him. The series also delves into the journey of his devoted commander, Ma Anand Sheela, his former spokesperson, who shielded her Bhagwan for an extended period.

This series unfolds the story of a mother- Jane Stork, who was captivated by the words of a distant figure and how she eventually reconnected with her roots.

It is a narrative about people whose lives were affected by intruders who bulldozed their way into their neighborhood and refused to leave. The series explores themes of loyalty, politics, deceit, power, and the sheer determination of an entire community that rallied against those they perceived as invaders.

“I am not going to give you a destination. I can only give you a direction – awake, throbbing with life, unknown, always surprising, unpredictable. I’m not going to give you a map. I can give you only a great passion to discover.” – Osho

These are the lines you will find if you visit the Osho Foundation, which continues to thrive. Osho, formerly known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, introduced ‘Dynamic Meditation’ and was labeled a ‘Sex Guru’ due to his statements. The documentary begins after Bhagwaan Rajneesh has moved from Jabalpur to Pune and established his center there, with foreigners pouring in steadily.

Ma Anand Sheela describes her first meeting with Bhagwaan as love at first sight. Notably, she was seventeen when she first met Bhagwaan Rajneesh but soon surpassed others to become his secretary.

Sheela, in all her statements, vehemently declares that everything she did was either to protect Bhagwan or to fulfill his desires.

Parallelly, the documentary recounts the experiences of both Philip and Jane, explaining how they left their homes to meet the guru who promised enlightenment.

After moving to Oregon, the documentary begins to follow the accounts of locals who were suspicious and unhappy as a large number of Rajneeshis arrived in their quiet town and created a commotion. The show depicts both sides: the locals opposed to the idea of open sex and the cult leader they believe to be evil, while the Rajneeshis stand firm, considering the locals bigots who want to oppress them due to religious differences.

In all six parts, the documentary attempts to capture every angle of the story, doing a commendable job as far as documentaries go.

The transition of people seeking inner peace and enlightenment to individuals involved in bioterror attacks and bombings is inconceivable, but one needs to watch and understand it. Whether you choose to believe the words is up to you, as you can always verify the facts.

The series remains open, avoiding an attempt to validate one truth or justify anything. It presents the raw actions and emotions of people on opposing sides, both believing they are protecting their own families.

Curry & Cyanide – The Jolly Joseph Case

Maturity Rating: U/A 13+
Genres: Documentaries

Directed by Christo Tomy

The new series was released on Netflix on December 22. The true crime documentary is based on the case of Jolly Joseph, who killed six people in cold blood for power and greed, and she was arrested in 2019. The murders were suspected of being done using cyanide.

The series features interviews with people related to Jollyamma Joseph, and their accounts of the crime span over eighteen years. Jollyamma Joseph belongs to a family of farmers from Kattappana in the Idukki district of Kerala and has the dream of living a luxurious life.

Jollyamma, aka Jolly, got married to Roy Thomas in 1997 and moved to Koodathayi in Kozhikode. Jolly’s mother-in-law Annamma, from the start, had been very vocal about her desire for Jolly to pursue a career. Annamma died in 2002, and at the time, it was ruled as cardiac arrest, but a decade after her death in 2019, Jolly was suspected of killing her when she got arrested for the death of her first husband Roy.

The second victim of Jolly was her father-in-law, and his death, even though it raised some heckles, the family hadn’t suspected any foul play. It was after the death of Roy that his uncle Manjadiyali raised some suspicions and demanded an autopsy. It was found he died of cyanide, but Jolly convinced everyone that the case shouldn’t move forward as it was a suicide and it would impact the mental health of her children.

Jolly knew Manjadiyali was one hurdle that kept creating obstacles for her, thus she killed him as well.

All these deaths occurring in this family have made Rojo and Renji, Roy’s brother and sister, extremely wary of Jolly. But the final nail in the coffin is done when Jolly kills Sily and Alphine, the wife and two-year-old daughter of Shaju, a man with whom Jolly was attracted. At the funeral of Sily, Renji saw the facade that Jolly had created, and she began the investigation on her own to find a discrepancy in the postmortem report of Roy and the story Jolly had weaved during his death. Renji and Rojo filed the case, which led to Jolly’s arrest.

The documentaries touched on what was the aspiration of Jolly in committing these crimes, how she did it, and the other suspects in this case. The series has the interview of the son of Jolly as well, who recounts the horror his life became due to his mother.

A story of betrayal, greed, lust, and power that shook Kerala and made us ask the question, has humanity truly left Mother Earth?

Although the series recounts the incidents that led Rojo and Renji to come to terms with the evil lurking in their ancestor’s house, somehow the series lacks in terms of technicality. It’s like we are watching the version of the story from one perspective, and if not for Jolly confessing to the crimes she has been indicted for, the case might have gone in another direction.

The series raises some serious questions about how good Jolly was in her role as an obedient and respectful citizen of society, and no one ever suspected anything. The police negligence when it comes to not taking action after the post-mortem report of Roy indicated the death wasn’t natural.

The family and community support did play a major role in how Jolly was able to stay out of trouble for eighteen years; the red flags around her that have been ignored are a cry for help. As a society, if we find something odd, it is not that unusual that we just keep it to ourselves.

The series could have shown some real clippings or anything related to real-life incidents for more impact. But overall, it was a good series for true crime lovers in general.

Animal Movie Review

Release on 30 November 2023, this movie has earned a lot of attention for both positive and negative aspects. Here is my take on the movie that depicts the story of a father and son bond carved in blood.

“Animal” is a multi-starer movie with many stars in one frame. Ranbir Kapoor, as the only son of Balveer Singh, a business tycoon, is portrayed as a Sigma male and the impact it has on the people around him. He is unapologetic, intelligent, and loves his family a lot.

The movie moves forward in showing the obsession a son has to gain the approval of his father, and from a young age, how his one wish has shaped his entire life. Ranbir slayed this character to the core.

Anil Kapoor, as Balveer Singh, was phenomenal. From being a stoic father focused on his business to regretting the time he hadn’t spent with his children, his emotions were conveyed through his eyes alone. The transition he goes through in one scene from anger to confusion to fear to concern is applaudable.

Every character has their own story and agenda, and each of them delivers it to the best of their abilities. Rashmika, as a dutiful wife who hates how their life has shifted overnight and her loving husband has turned into a murderer, in a few scenes may be seen as overdone, but crucial scenes were top-notch and shouldn’t be missed.

The music is captivating and enthralling; one can easily get lost in the lyrics. What the movie lacks is depth.

We see the characters, and we are told their desires and aspirations, but there is no backbone to the story. Why is Balveer Singh loved by all his workers? How does Balveer Singh hold so much power in the country that his son goes on a murder rampage, and there is no law and order? What is this company all about and its power?

Why were all his cousins ready to die for Ranbir over his one speech? Their bond or anything isn’t shown except for the jokes and rage-filled dialogues.

We were introduced to a second family miles away who have their own set of rules and love, but it was so short that the angst that was shown felt hollow.

Also, the movie ended on a cliffhanger to show there is a sequel coming up for this, which felt unnecessary, but maybe the points that are missed in this movie are shown in that one, and it could be a fun watch.

So, if you like movies with a hero whose ego is bigger than his height and has his own set of principles that he keeps shoving into your throat, but you love the action and blood and a good set of music, this movie is for you.

Escaping Twin Flames

Maturity Rating U/A 16+
Genres- Documentary
Series Directed by Cecilia Peck
Released on 8 Nov 2023

The documentary exposes an infamous community known as Twin Flames Universe, which guarantees you they will help you find your true twin flame or your soulmate. The series explores real-life accounts of former Twin Flames members who admitted the true horror that lay within the confines of the community.

How they were manipulated, coerced, and exploited by the team leaders and were robbed of their time, money, and emotions.
Jeff and Shaleia started making the videos on YouTube in 2014 yet the organization was officially founded in 2017.

Twin Flame Universe is a community that guarantees to give you true love, life, and purpose and offers ‘The Twin Flame Ascension Course’ a paid online class for discussing the concept of “twin flames.” Apart from these, they have numerous different products like books and other courses that teach you meditation, healing, etc.,
The documentary touched base at first on who exactly are these two people who claim to be the love guru and lifestyle coach, Jeff and Shaleia claim to have spiritual powers that allow them to confirm who exactly is your twin flame.
Jeff formerly known as Ender Ayanethos from his childhood days wanted to be a billionaire and was interested in business, but none of his business plans had seen the success of the day until he met Shaleia.
Shaleia Ayan whose real name is Megan has given herself a new name after rediscovering herself on her spiritual journey. A free spirit person who after meeting with Jeff descends into a livelihood of teaching other people about spirituality. Jeff and Shaleia say their love connected them in a way that they have come into a harmonious union and want to help others find what they already have, all their vlogs show the happy and peaceful life they share together.
At first glance, it all sounds romantic and a life that most people would crave, and that is how the former associates describe why they started their journey with the community.
They had experienced a heartbreak, a hard time connecting with people and they wanted some hope or a space where they feel safe and loved. And that is what Jeff and Shaleia provided them.
But over a period of time even after getting through all the suggested courses and the exercises, when they weren’t getting the desired result they voiced out their opinion and at that time they were shamed and berated for not having the faith.

The influence Jeff had on his members was shown when on his suggestions they kept acting. Pursuing a person who isn’t interested in them, is coerced into being in a relationship with a person they don’t feel comfortable with, even questioning their sexual orientation. These members tell a heartbreaking story of the fear they faced and the pressure they felt to always be in the good grace of their leader.

The documentary also has interview clips with the family members who have lost their son, daughter, or sibling to Twin Flames as Twin Flames suggest that the Twin Flame universe Family is their true family and the people have cut ties with the families they have grown up with, the family members share the fall out between their family and how it might have been a ticking factor for the people to severe their ties but these families aren’t just mourning the loss of their loved ones. They have formed their own community to expose the truth about Twin Flames and their leaders.
Before watching the series, I hadn’t heard of this organization but to be fair I live in India which is seven continents away from Michigan where the leaders reside. Yet, I was surprised to find how far the reach of this community has spread.

The interviews were heartfelt and it was jarring to see how these people succumb to the point they couldn’t think for themselves. To watch these series as from the outside it seems unreal that how can one blindly trust someone to the point one can’t see right or wrong but these people at first were the friends of their victims, and there was a chain that has been formed. If the leaders manipulated some people to become their next associates, one would think these people at least would have an idea on what they were doing but that is not the case as the interview showed both the people at higher ranks and the interviews of people they have trained and coached. Everyone was following a manual failure of which would they need to face the wrath of the leader. A victim causes the same pain and fear to others and it goes on unquestioned for so long and that is what this documentary tried to unearth. The truth what is it? As currently the Twin Flames
Universe is still running with thousands of devoted followers and they claim that all these accusation are baseless and until and unless someone has an actual proof to back the statement they are making, life goes on.

The Railway Men- A Netflix Series

The Railway Men- The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984

Maturity Rating U/A 16+

Genres- Dramas, Thriller, Social Issue

Series Directed by Shiv Rawail

The gripping four-episode series inspired by the harrowing true events of a chemical disaster on the night of 2-3 December 1984 at Union CarbideIndia Limited, Bhopal showcases the heart-wrenching tale of greed, arrogance, helplessness, and sheer determination and further delves into the stories of some unsung heroes.

The Railway Men tackles several aspects of an accident- the before, the present and the terror ensured afterward. Although the story was told in a dramatized way to grip your heart, they add the facts and real photos and their inspiration for creating such a series.

Kay Kay Menon’s performance as the Bhopal Junction stationmaster is truly commendable. Portraying a middle-aged man haunted by a past mistake that led to the tragic death of a young boy, Menon brings a nuanced depth to his character. His commitment to strict safety protocols at the station coexists with a kind and compassionate nature, evident in his deep connections with the station’s employees.

As a man of discipline who values honest work, the character’s complexities shine through, especially in his troubled relationship with his son. The son’s desire to join Union Carbide for financial reasons adds a poignant layer to the narrative, highlighting the generational conflicts arising from differing values and priorities. Menon’s portrayal captures the intricacies of a character navigating the consequences of his actions and the challenges of maintaining integrity in the face of personal and familial discord.

The series also has some other parallel tracks focusing on several other characters, and how their story intertwined that night at the junction of Bhopal.

The thriller factor is capturing and engaging as your heart races in those moments and you are unable to sit still as the scene unravels in front of your eyes.

Bhopal was sleeping in peace when the gas leaked at Union Carbide in the middle of the night, the workers panicked, and even though they tried to salvage the situation and to some extent saved a disastrous event to a much larger scale, some things were just out of their hands.

A chemical that has poisoned the air and it is fatal to all living things is dispersed. One would think that the authorities would take responsibility but the series captures the cold and calculative perspective of such a large corporation and how the workers who have been trained to follow the orders are clueless and destined for a gruesome fate.

Although the leak would have caused mayhem everywhere, the series’ main focus point had been the ‘Bhopal junction’ where Iftekaar Siddiqui along with Imad Riaz, a worker who has joined as a loco pilot reporting for the first time battle to find a solution.

Balwant Yadav The Express Bandit who is a thief and has come to Bhopal to rob the station safe founds himself as the right-hand man for Iftekaar.

The chemistry between these three was noteworthy as they formed this unsaid allegiance towards each other to ensure the safety of others. And you see why they needed each other, if Iftekaar was the decision maker due to his soft heart he needed the wit and outspoken Balwant who would call a spade a spade.

Imam who is determined and filled with this sense of duty to do their best for his people needed a direction and a leader he could follow whom he found in Iftekaar.

What I didn’t like was the side story of Rati Pandey, GM of West Central Railway Zone, and his wife Rajeshwari Jangley, the DA of West Central Railway Zone- the good aspect was the tension between the characters as they fight for a common cause but it felt irrelevant at the given point of time and was maybe given just to provide a more screen time which was again unnecessary.

The characters were important to the story for unraveling the other aspects of the tragedy- politics and greed. But it could have spared the intangible layer of a relationship between these two characters.

Nonetheless, this series is a must-watch.

Till Murder Do Us Part: Soering Vs Haysom- A Netflix series review

Original title: Der Fall Jens Söring – Tödliche Leidenschaft

Series Directed by Andre Hörmann and Lena Leonhardt

A documentary about Elizabeth Roxanne Haysom a Canadian citizen and her boyfriend Jens Söring who were indicted of orchestrating the 1985 double murder of her parents Derek and Nancy Haysom in their home in Bedford County, Virginia.

The documentary gives us a description of the murder and how it took place and we have the interviews of the officers who were in charge of the case at that time. Now, you have to remember this is an old case but one that has continued to be in the limelight now and then.

The documentary has four episodes to show the audience the story from the view of police, Haysom, Soering, and the verdict that will give you something to think about in the final episode.

Derek and Nancy Haysom are reputable figures in the society and their murder was first considered as robbery until it was found that no belongings were stolen. And though both Derek and Nancy have children from their previous marriage, Elizabeth was their only child together. Adored by everyone, the police and the entire community felt terrible for the girl who lost her parents at the young age of 20.

But what started as sympathy soon began to develop into suspicion when in the interview with police, Elizabeth didn’t show any emotion, on questions about her whereabouts her response was that she was with her boyfriend Jens Soering, who refused to connect with police until it was absolutely necessary.

Police who have been suspecting their behaviour and have reasons to believe they both were lying about their activities on the day of the murder, were shocked when Soering and Haysom ran away together.

Elizabeth and Jens met each other at the University of Virginia and soon their relationship began, both people were madly in love with each other, considering the other person their “other half”.

The documentary touches upon their love affair exactly what attracted both of them towards each other and how Elizabeth’s parents were a hurdle to their love.

Now, there are two sides shown about what exactly transpired that day in the home of Derek and Nancy Haysom. Elizabeth swears Jens was the killer of her parents and she was just an accessory. And Jens confessed to killing her parents but after some chain of events and years later when Jens is presented in front of the court, he swears he is innocent and Elizabeth is the real killer.

The story touches on the motive behind the murder from both Soering and Haysom’s side and how the couple who were once irrevocably in love turn against each other and become the worst of enemies.

There is evidence presented in the court in support of Elizabeth’s claims but one has to be reminded this was happening at a time when technology wasn’t that advanced and Soering continued to plead his innocence.

Now, here is the dilemma the documentary presents to you the crime and the evidence, but the evidence shown tells two stories, and whichever one you pick, will change the base of this horrendous crime. What you need to decide after watching this story is whose side are you on. Who is telling the truth or there is a truth in this case? Is Soering a victim of an unjust system who didn’t dig deep and stay blind to his pleas or is he a cold-blooded killer whose only way to live with himself is to keep convincing himself he is innocent or there is something else that happened which hasn’t been revealed by neither Haysom or Soering?

All your questions may remain unsolved but this is one case you would like to watch if you are a fan of true crime and thriller. The story pace is good and keeps you on the hook, and the four-episode long watch would seem tiny if you haven’t known about this case before, as the story progresses, you get to see all the layers of a criminal love story.

American Manhunt: The Boston Bombing “The American Dream” Review

A Netflix series directed by Floyd Russ released on 12 April 2023

“If people want to hurt people, they will find a way to do that.”- The series starts with a powerful statement by William B. Evans superintendent who was running in the Marathon on 16 April 2013. A statement that prepares you for what you are going to watch. A day so catastrophic that would be painful to watch but at the same time you would be driven to know the story behind it. The Netflix series directed by Floyd Russ has three episodes the first episode we see the event that occurred on that disastrous day, the mayhem, the blood, and the cries of victims that would not let you rip your eyes from the screen. You want the culprit to be apprehended and you are fully invested in the true story and follow the FBI search for suspects and how they captured them.

We were introduced to different people’s perspective and how they all believe the situation could be handled differently. We even get a deeper insight into the life of the two suspects which were introduced to us as White hat and black hat and by the third episode their real identity was revealed. A lively event that is held every Patriot’s Day, the Boston Marathon commemorates the Battle of Lexington and Concord, which began the American Revolution. An event that will forever be tainted by the blood spilled by two people who were delusional and took out all the anger building inside them on innocent victims.

Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev two brothers who came to America with a dream in their eyes and then blame America for not giving it to them on a silver platter. The energy they put into planning the bombing then escaping the police, and the sheer audacity to be unremorseful until the very last moment would made you pause and think, this is the prime example of the length people can push to when they set their mind onto a goal.

The series was handled tastefully, real footage and pictures were shown and it made the series more impactful. A must watch series if you have not heard about an event that puzzled the nation and to chase two brothers across lengths and to see the lives of people they have ruined irrevocably.

Sand and Ray- An analysis

(Only Friends)

Ray is an alcoholic who drinks to connect with people. He has no other strategies in his repertoire. He consider himself to be a burden. And that’s not his pessimistic thinking but a fact, and who can argue with him when his own mother died from alcoholism which she opted because of Ray. His father absent because of his work, never bothered to check upon him, giving money and assuming he would take care of himself.

The reason he got attracted to his friend Mew is that Mew was the first person to genuinely care about him, telling him that he matters. This warmed his heart, and he blossomed in that feeling for years. Even when Mew rejected him, he was still happy because someone cared for him. It was enough, until one day he met Sand.

Sand has always known in this world that he has to be tough. He needs to be independent and smart. He has responsibilities. His mother loves him dearly but is unable to make decisions, thus he took the reins in his hand. He works multiple jobs, does a variety of tasks to earn for himself and support his mother. He has no time for indulging in useless emotions and self-indulgence. Every twenty-four hours in his day is carefully segmented into different pursuits. He has no reservations about anything getting in his way until he met Ray.

When they first met, they hated each other. Sand thought Ray was a spoiled brat, and Ray despised anyone who didn’t show deference to his wealth and dared to point out his flaws.

However, when Sand saw Ray about to drive under the influence, he offered to help him, doing it for the sake of other people lives. He ended up taking care of Ray even after he passed out. Ray had never encountered someone willing to do such a selfless act for a stranger. He’d always believed that these “nice guys” were just a figment of people’s imagination. Everyone wants something, what does Sand covet? He was intrigued and thankful. Thus, he keep approaching Sand sometime on the pretext of needing help, sometime asking him to be his drinking buddy. The truth was, every time he met Sand, he discovered something about himself and began to learn about life and what it had to offer. For the first time, he found happiness.

Sand love making Ray smile, because when he smile his eyes shine and Sand want to capture that moment and store it inside his heart in a place where no one could steal it. He knew his time with Ray, has a limit. Ray is not his, he could never be his. Ray loves only one person and that is Mew, but until he has Ray he will continue to make him smile, continue to take care of him until he doesn’t have the rights.

Ray was happy, and life was heading in the right direction. Even the fact that Mew’s boyfriend got on his nerves didn’t deter him. Whenever he had time, he would visit Sand and chat with him, but Sand never complained. He always welcomed Ray into his home and his heart. Ray even met Sand’s mother, who was just as sweet as Sand, and he thought that life couldn’t get any better.

Then, one day, Mew broke up with his boyfriend and was overcome with sadness and heartbreak.

Ray finally had the opportunity to be with Mew, he took it without much thought. The thought of Sand didn’t stop him because he believed Sand would always be there for him. Sand is his no matter what. Never in his wildest imagination did he think he would lose Sand with one decision.

He kept asking Sand to be his friend, expressing how happy Sand made him. All Sand said was that Mew would do the same. Ray wanted to argue, given that he had been friends with Mew for a long time. Despite his love for Mew, Mew didn’t evoke the same feelings in him as Sand did. Only Sand made him feel those flutters and giddiness when he requested something and got pampered. But he felt that he owed it to himself to see where things went with Mew, after all, Mew was the love of his life. Wasn’t he?
